Jeff Terry joined the firm as an associate in 2014. He is originally from Quincy, and graduated from Western Michigan Thomas M. Cooley Law School (cum laude), Quincy University and John Wood Community College. While at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Jeff served as Associate Editor and Senior Associate Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review while also clerking for Judge Rosemarie Aquilina, 30th Judicial Circuit Court Judge, Ingham County, Lansing Michigan.
Since joining Schmiedeskamp, Jeff has been involved in all areas of practice at the firm. Jeff is a member of the firm’s education law practice group and assists the firm’s education law clients in a variety of matters. Jeff also assists the firm’s clients with a variety of employment law issues. Jeff assists clients with estate and trust planning, elder law, real estate, business organization and succession planning, and agriculture law. In addition, Jeff has assisted clients in numerous real estate transactions whether residential, agricultural, commercial, or industrial. Jeff has worked with the litigation group to draft motions, and preparing discovery. He has assisted in the litigation of complex corporate suits, property line disputes, will contests, employment matters, and the defense of medical malpractice claims. Jeff is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri. Jeff is also licensed in the U.S. District Court of Central Illinois and U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Missouri.
